Founded by Jason Mckoy in 2012, Mercurial Sports brings together over two decades of experience across programme design & delivery, coaching, education, research, consultancy and International development. We combine academic grounding with practical delivery - always in service of genuine social impact.
OUR HISTORY
2012
Mercurial Sports Founded
Jason Mckoy launches the company after nearly a decade managing and developing the Street League Sports programme. Begins supplying kit, apparel and equipment across the sports sector.
2014
International Partnerships
Establishes relationships with domestic and international Sport for Development organisations, expanding training and advisory services.
2017
First Residential Programme
Commissioned by a London local authority to deliver our first residential programme for young black men.
2018
Play International and Student Exchanges
Worked closely with Play International, developing their Playdagogy Programme in the UK. Facilitated workshops for students from across Europe as part of the Erasmus programme.
2023
Delivery Expansion
Workshops, lectures and support programmes delivered across schools, universities, community groups and prisons.
2024
Water Safety
Works with the Black Swimming Association to develop new programs, projects, and activities. Generates more exposure via Sky Sports.
2025
EDI & new projects
Provides consultancy and support to 10 National Governing Bodies as part of a larger EDI project. Delivered new women-only projects focusing on disadvantaged women from the global majority, refugees and asylum seekers.
